The Turbo T2 Plus is an update of the Aquabot T. Like the original Model, the T2 is big, powerful and packed with features.

It scrubs the floor, walls and waterline and vacuums up every bit of debris into the large filter bag.

If you are looking for a powerful pool robot that will deep-clean your pool, the Aquabot T2 is one of the best in the market.

It’s expensive and inconveniently heavy, but it cleans better than most of the robotic pool cleaners.

If you are not ready to spend over $1,000 on a pool robot, choose a cheaper alternative from our top picks.

Cleaning Ability

aquabots review

The Aquabot T2 Plus is designed to provide the deepest and most thorough cleaning possible. Every feature is geared towards improving cleaning performance.

There are the quad brushes – 4 active brushes that scrub algae and grime off the walls and floor.

The T2 Plus also features a pressure washing system where water jets help loosen dirt on the pool surface.

Then the 75GPM pump pushes the water through a 2-micron filter bag that captures the tiniest of particles in the water as well as the big ones like leaves and bugs.

The Turbo T2 Plus provides complete coverage of the pool. It scrubs the floors, the wall, and the waterline.

Thanks to the high-traction rubber treads and powerful motor, it has no trouble scaling 90-degree walls for a deep clean.

One of the most impressive things about the Turbo T2 Plus is how quickly it cleans. The standard cleaning cycle lasts just 1 hour.

In that time, it provides a deep cleaning that other pool robots take 2-3 hours to complete.

How It Works

Aquabot ABTURT2R1 Turbo T2

The Turbo T2 Plus intelligently moves around the pool as it deploys its 4-part cleaning system –scrubbing, pressure washing, vacuuming and filtering.

The treads can clamber over walls, go over drains and get into tight corners to ensure every inch is scrubbed clean.

Brushes scrub debris off the walls and are helped along by powerful jets of water that pressure-wash the floor and walls.

If your pool tends to get particularly stubborn algae on the walls, the T2 Plus will help.

After scrubbing and pressure washing, the debris is vacuumed into the oversize filter bag.

Removing and cleaning the filter bag is tedious compared to the filter cartridges used in some Aquabot cleaners.

It also doesn’t help that it is a bottom-access filter, meaning you have to turn the heavy robot over to remove the bag.

Unique Features

aquabot T2 Plus

1. NeverStuck System

This is Aquabot’s unique anti-stuck system that ensures that the robot never gets stuck in any physical feature of pool.

2. 7-hour Digital Timer

If the standard 1-hour cycle is not enough to get your pool clean, you can set the T2 Plus to clean for up to 7 hours, though 3 hours will do for the dirtiest of pools.

3. Dual Drive Motors

The dual drive motors allow the T2 Plus to operate each of the two threads independently. This comes in handy when it is turning especially in a tight spot.

By moving each tread separately, it can make a complete 360-degree turn within a tight radius.

This greatly improves mobility.
